Founded in 2013, LOVE TO THE RESCUE has become one of the premier charity events in central Texas. This event is hosted by the Karem Shriners Director’s Staff each year. Our guests enjoy an elegant dinner, auctions, raffles, and a private concert, all set in a casual, fun-filled environment. Since its inception, LTR has raised over $750,000 for Shriners Children’s™. Shriners Children’s™ offers world-class specialty care for pediatric orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, regardless of the families’ ability to pay. Shriners Children’s™ operates multiple hospitals and outpatient clinics across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including our Texas hospital located in Galveston.

LOVE TO THE RESCUE is the largest charity event for Shriners Children’s™ in Central Texas. This local event was created by members of the Karem Shrine Directors Staff as a means to promote awareness of what we feel is the “world’s greatest philanthropy,” Shriners Children’s™. All Shriners are volunteers who believe in a cause greater than ourselves and that our dedication to helping children in return helps us to be better men, fathers, husbands, and citizens.
We are thankful for our ladies, fellow Karem Shrine members, friends, family, and corporate sponsors who all contribute to the success of our event. Most importantly, we thank YOU for attending and supporting thousands of children, not only across the U.S. but right here in Central Texas. All net proceeds from LOVE TO THE RESCUE benefit Shriners Children’s™, which operates multiple facilities across North America, including our Galveston, TX burn and orthopedic hospital.
